Washington State Licensed Mental Health Counselor

My greatest passion and privilege is to walk with people through their pain. As a counselor, I strive to cultivate a non-shaming space for those seeking healing, recovery, and freedom. I want to help you become the person God dreams you can be: Healthy, healed and at peace!

My clients include adults, adolescents, and couples. I primarily help people struggling with depression, trauma, sexual trauma, sexual addiction, life transitions, relational issues, addiction, stress and faith issues. I work with couples who are looking to enhance their relationship, dealing with a crisis, or navigating sexual dysfunction or addiction. I also work with couples seeking pre-engagement or pre-marital therapy to help couples build a healthy marriage from the start!

Core to my counseling approach is unconditional positive regard, empathy and client-counselor collaboration. I empower clients to pursue emotional, relational and spiritual wellness by providing education on practical tools and coping skills to manage various mental health concerns. I utilize Acceptance and Commitment Therapy to help clients experience more fulfillment by living according to their values and beliefs. I also use tenants of psychodynamic therapy to uncover past wounds that may contribute to current problems. I am committed to facilitating a respectful, therapeutic environment for all clients, valuing the diversity and autonomy of each individual person.

I researched interpersonal neurobiology at Northwestern University while completing a Master of Arts in Mental Health Counseling. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State (LH60971003), a National Certified Counselor (1092366) and member of the American Counseling Association. I am supervised by Dr. Bart Fowler, M.A., Psy.D., a licensed psychologist in Washington (PY60153263).

When I’m not at CHARIS, I’m enjoying married life with my husband, traveling the world, serving in the church and being active in the great outdoors!

I look forward to talking with you and being part of your journey. If you are interested in pursuing counseling services, call me for a free 15 minute consultation at 360-891-2000 x110.
