Master of Arts in Counseling – The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology

Washington State Mental Health Counselor Associate

Washington State Certified Child Mental Health Specialist

I am passionate about working with children, adolescents and young adults find health, healing and wholeness. Since 2012, I have assisted clients facing struggles with depression, anxiety, school issues, behavioral issues, parenting, sexuality and trauma. I am dedicated to providing an empathetic and supportive environment within the counseling room, where clients are free to express themselves and their issues without fear of judgment.

I use a variety of counseling techniques and theories including: Cognitive Behavioral, Narrative, Relational Psychodynamic, Play and Mindfulness based therapies. Counseling should be a place that invites creativity, celebration and transformation which is why I often engage clients in activities like drawing, games and bringing in items of significance to share. I actively encourage my clients to participate in activities both inside and outside of counseling in order to see the success that they would like to see in their lives.

I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling at The Seattle School of Theology and Psychology in Seattle, WA. I am both a Mental Health Counselor Associate (MC60442643) and a Certified Child Mental Health Specialist in Washington State. I am a member of the American Psychological Association and supervised by Bart J. Fowler, Psy.D., a licensed psychologist both in Washington (PY60153263) and Oregon (1297).

In addition to being a counselor at CHARIS Counseling Associates, I work at the MESD school system in Portland, Oregon, assisting children and adolescents who have emotional and behavioral difficulties. When I am not working I enjoy spending time with my wife and two dogs, playing guitar, finding new recipes to cook and spending time with friends.

I look forward to working with you and helping you discover who you are and who you want to be!
