Jessica Kingrey, M.A., M.H.C.A.

Master of Arts in Counseling – Western Seminary
Washington State Mental Health Counselor Associate.

I am passionate about counseling and believe it is a sacred privilege to be part of anyone’s healing journey. I believe in empowering people to find healing and strength to move forward in a way that fits wherever they may be in the process. I do not try to have all of the answers, but rather prefer to partner with clients in their own exploration and growth.

I am trained to work with clients of all ages, and have extensive experience working with children, adolescents and college aged youth. I am trained in Narrative Therapy, Trauma-focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, Couples Therapy, Collaborative Problem Solving, Child-centered Play Therapy, Theraplay and Sandtray Therapy. I have experience working with individuals and families to help with a variety of issues, including: depression, anxiety, post-traumatic stress disorder, ADHD, communication, relationships, parenting, aggression and identity development.

I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. I also have a bachelor’s degree in Psychology from Portland State University. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate in Washington State (MC60689069) and supervised by Bart Fowler, M.A., Psy.D., a licensed psychologist in Washington (PY60153263). I have over six years of experience working in the mental health field in a variety of settings.

When I am not working as a counselor, you can find me spending time with my husband and friends, playing music in my band or at church, or someplace outside. I try and cultivate Christian spirituality, mindfulness and gratitude in my personal life and this has deeply enriched the work that I do.
