RACHEL STORM | MA, LMHC

Healing is possible. Wherever you might be in the story of your life right now, there may have been times when it felt impossible to experience the life you were meant to live, the joy you were meant to experience, spiritual, mental, emotional, and physical health. Maybe that time is right now. If you are there right now, or you feel like you are chained to your past and patterns that keep you from moving forward into the hope, peace, and joy God has for you, I want to encourage you that there is abundant hope. Hope for you to find a place where you can truly thrive.

I would love to partner with you on your journey forward. My heart is to sit with you in your struggle, to listen and understand, and to support you as you take one step at a time towards the healing that is possible for you.

My counseling areas of focus include: Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD), anxiety, and depression. I have experience working with children, teens, young adults, and individual adults. My counseling approach centers on cognitive behavioral therapy with an emphasis on person-centered techniques. When working with a child, teen, or adult who suffers from OCD, I come alongside them to help them benefit from the evidenced-based treatment for OCD: Exposure Response Prevention (ERP) as well as general cognitive behavioral therapy.

I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in Washington State (LH61560857). I received a graduate degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from George Fox University. Before I joined Charis Counseling, I worked with kids, teens, young adults, and adult individuals at a private practice. I also have experience working with teens in the alternative high school setting, where I supported students through mentoring and positive relationships.

In my personal time, I enjoy spending time with family and friends, cooking or baking, playing with my dog, and listening to beautiful music.

I abide by Washington State law and ethics pertaining to counselors and the American Counseling Association code of ethics.
