Hello, my name is Mikaela!

I am a passionate and relational therapist who believes every individual has a unique and valuable story to tell. I aim to help individuals process their pain while also learning to celebrate their strengths and view themselves with greater acceptance, love, and compassion. In my work, I create space for you to share your story as you are ready, offering gentle direction and helpful coping skills as you learn to navigate life’s challenges.

I primarily work with individual adults (ages 16+) who have sought help with anxiety, depression, ADHD, women’s issues, relational problems, self-esteem, and recovery from abuse and trauma. I utilize a person-centered approach to therapy with techniques taken from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Strengths-Based Therapy, EMDR, as well as mindfulness practices.

If you are feeling overwhelmed by life’s struggles, you are not alone and you are brave for seeking help. I have hope that the difficulties you have endured can empower you toward healing, wholeness, and resilience. I would be honored to walk alongside and support you on your growth journey.

My personal interests include spending quality time with my husband and our German Shepherd, exploring new restaurants, enjoying live music performances, getting outdoors as much as possible, and connecting with family and friends.

I completed my Master of Arts in Counseling at Western Seminary in Portland, Oregon. I am a Licensed Mental Health Counselor in the state of Washington (LH61422114), a member of the American Counseling Association, and a National Certified Counselor (NCC) with the National Board of Certified Counselors.
